Dog owners in the east who are looking for a convenient one stop pit stop to meet all the needs of your furkids, here's somewhere you can consider.
The Oasis was first opened in June 2022, but they recently made their full array of services available to the public.
As pet owners themselves, the founders of The Oasis hope to provide convenience for pet owners so that they can "do many things with their dogs" worry-free.
This is also a space where pet owners can gather and network.
Training and daycare services
The Oasis offers training and daycare programmes for dogs.
The training is provided by AVS-certified trainers in collaboration with different clubs such as German Shepherd Club Singapore and APawz Dogsports & Canine Talents Academy, The Oasis added.
Some full-time staff are in the process of becoming AVS-certified trainers.
At the facility, there are four full timers, and a handful of part-timers.
The training focuses on aspects such as agility, basic obedience and behaviour modification.
The daycare programme includes indoor and outdoor socialising, potty breaks, games and exercises.
The dogs get to fully utilise the outdoor turfed area and indoor air-conditioned daycare area.
The indoor area also has a small treadmill, stability discs and exercise balls to keep furkids active.
A daycare session costs S$50 to $60 per day, depending on the size of the dog.
Huge space for dogs to run and play
You can also find a 12,000 square feet space that is fully-fenced and artificially turfed at their premise in Tampines.
The facility is also equipped with "competition grade" agility equipment such as a dog walk, see-saw, A-frame and tunnels.
A field booking for four dogs and four people costs S$100 per hour, inclusive of the use of agility equipment.
The turfed area is also where The Oasis hosts events.
Past events include Mooncake Festival, Halloween, a Golden Retriever Club gathering.
The centre manager Mark Woo said they want to continue "engag(ing) the pet community" through their space, "bring(ing) the community together" to have fun with their dogs.
By the way, there is a Sheltie Club gathering coming up soon, as well as a flea market for pet owners to sell secondhand pet items.
Hydro-pool
The hydro-pool is 8x10m long and 1.2m deep.
The Oasis said that they use a salt chlorination system so as to reduce damage done to pet fur.
The pool is cleaned twice a week, Woo added.
Dogs under their daycare can swim in the pool with a top up of S$30.
After each swimming session, half an hour is reserved for "basic maintenance" to scoop up fur and clean the water filters.
For four humans and one dog, a pool booking is S$60 per hour.
Looking to hold a pool party for your furkid? The facility is also open to hosting private events like dog birthday parties.
Grooming for both dogs and cats
The Oasis also provides grooming services for both dogs and cats.
They offer a green tea spa, purifying scrub, shower and blow, basic and full grooming.
Basic grooming includes a shower and dry, trimming and filing of nails, shaving of paw hair, ear cleaning, sanitary shave and anal gland expression (if required).
The full grooming has all of the above and a full body trim.
Only pets with valid vaccination record or titer test report will be allowed.
According to The Oasis' website, "aggressive" pets may be rejected by groomers. Furthermore, pets with fleas and ticks are not allowed as it may lead to infestations.
Prices vary with the size of the pet.
The grooming salon is open daily from 10am to 7pm.
Retail space
Pet owners can purchase food, medication, toys and other products in-store.
The Oasis carries food brands like Acana, which may be hard to find in other pet shops.
These products are available on their website as well.
Pet sales
If you explore The Oasis's website, you will notice that they sell puppies too.
Woo said that The Oasis does not support puppy mills and wishes to provide a trusted avenue for those who want to buy dogs.
When they source for puppies, they will ask breeders for the parentage of the puppies and their living conditions, Woo said.
"We find from the right sources so that (...) we don't end up with a dog that gives us lots of heartaches down the line with medical problems, and at the same time not support places that don't breed responsibly.
For people who want to adopt, you know, we encourage that. But for people who want to find a specific pet (...), we also want to be able to offer that option to them, that the dogs that we source are bred ethically and responsibly."
Puppies that are with them for a longer period of time are trained with the basics, making it "easier for first time pet owners".
Woo also added that they will also recommend dogs according to the interested buyers' lifestyles.
He believes that improper matching can lead to possible abandonment issues.
They have plans to sell kittens in the future and have a designated kitten room. However, they are not rushing into it, and are still looking for "reliable and responsible" sources, Woo said.
