Parliament prorogued, resumes on Apr. 10 with President's update on govt policies

After the latest sitting that included an intense debate, the Fourteenth Parliament of Singapore will go into recess as of Mar. 24, 2023.

The Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on Mar. 24 stating that Parliament will be prorogued and the second session will open on Apr. 10, 2023, at 8:30pm, starting with the President's Address.

The President will announce the government's priorities, policies and programmes for the remainder of the current term of office.

After the address, Parliament will debate these policies and programmes in its debate on the Motion of Thanks for the President's Address.
