Motorcyclist, 24, dies after collision with car at Loyang Avenue junction

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An accident involving a car and a motorcycle left the motorcyclist, a 24-year-old male, dead.

The accident took place at the junction of Loyang Avenue and Cranwell Road in the early hours of Mar. 9.

Responding to queries from Mothership, the police said that they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the road junction at 12:28am.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted at 12:30am, an SCDF spokesperson said.

According to the police, the 24-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.

"The 57-year-old male car driver was arrested for careless driving causing death," the police added.

Police investigations are ongoing.
