In the latest series of incidents where women in Malaysia were denied entrance by government establishments, a woman found herself barred from entering a Malaysian hospital due to a "misunderstanding" about the dress code.
Denied entry
A video of the incident, which was uploaded on Twitter, shows a woman wearing pants which go past her knees.
The person who was filming the video could be heard saying, "This auntie is wearing short pants, and this man is not letting her enter [the hospital]".
The security guard quickly corrected the man, claiming it was the management that set the rule.

The incident is understood to have happened at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA).
"Misunderstanding" over dress code
Pahang Health director Nor Azimi Yunus has since responded and called the incident a "misunderstanding", according to the Malay Mail.
“So far, no problem has arisen for visitors who are dressed in such a way to enter during visiting hours, except for those not decently dressed," she explained. "The HTAA has taken appropriate measures to make the security guards understand that they should not take any enforcement action without official instructions from the hospital."
She said the incident likely occurred as the security guard in question misunderstood the dress code for members of the public to enter the hospital.
