A man in Singapore had a particularly heartwarming experience buying some fried banana fritters in Woodlands.

Adib Dandelion shared on Facebook that he had "happily ordered" some pisang goreng before he realised it was a cash-only shop.

And of course, he did not have any cash on him.

Slightly embarrassed, he apologised and rushed to a nearby ATM.

When he returned to purchase his pisang goreng, he noticed another customer scrambling for cash in her purse.

Seeing that the aunty "only had a few cents", he offered to pay for her.

It turned out that he didn't even need to open his wallet.

"The abang just smiled and told me, 'Bro just now the makcik standing behind you paid for your pisang goreng already, here's yours.'"

Additionally, the stallowner, touched by Adib's generosity and willingness to pay for the aunty, decided to give the aunty her order for free.

Adib's post resonated with many and was shared 700 times.

"May Allah SWT make us all charitable individuals and may we follow their footsteps paying it forward," said Dandelion.
