Charlie Goh is warning his followers of a scammer after being cheated of S$160 from his attempt to purchase beef and salmon online.

The 34-year-old local actor took to his Instagram Stories on Feb. 26, 2023 to share about his encounter.

According to Goh, he had become interested in purchasing the items after chancing upon a Facebook advertisement on them.

However, there was a minimum order of 3kg for the salmon, which Goh felt was too much for him.

The actor thus approached his neighbour to ask if he would like to split the order, to which the neighbour agreed.

After a conversation with the seller, he placed an order for 3kg of salmon and 1kg of Wagyu beef, and paid S$160.

Following the payment, the actor was informed that the products would be delivered the following day before 6pm.

During the exchange, the seller had even entertained Goh's queries about the products, and asked him for delivery details like address and contact number.

However, when the day passed, the customer did not receive his goods by 6pm.

When he contacted the seller to ask about it, Goh was blocked.

He then shared the seller's details online, in a bid to prevent more people from falling victim.

Shortly after, Goh's friend found another account with a similar modus operandi:

The actor also made a police report over the incident.
