Train delays are a situation bemoaned by all, but one particular incident made many commenters' blood boil.
A boy filmed himself deliberately stopping the MRT train doors at Jurong East MRT station, preventing them from closing.
Copies of the video, which was apparently posted on YouTube before getting taken down, have been going around on TikTok and Reddit.

The incident allegedly occurred on Mar. 1, Wednesday.
The train was on the East-West line, travelling from Jurong East toward Clementi.
"Okay guys watch this"
"Okay guys watch this, I'm going to force the PSDs (Platform Screen Doors)," the boy said at the start of the video.
The train doors then closed, but the platform screen doors failed to close, leaving a gap of about 10cm.
"Okay, perfect," the boy can be heard uttering.
The platform screen doors eventually closed, but red lights can be seen blinking on top of the protective screens.
The boy appeared to have realised the potential consequences of his act, quickly backing off so that he "won't be too much of a suspect."
The train doors closed for a brief moment before opening. The other platform screen doors then opened, but the one that the boy had blocked stayed shut.
Meanwhile, the boy contemplated out loud whether he would upload the video to YouTube.
Eventually, all of the train doors closed, but the train remained stationary at the station.
"I think it got disrupted," the boy muttered to himself.
A quick camera pan showed that another train was approaching, but had stopped.
An SMRT staff can be seen rushing to conduct checks on the system.
"Woah, this is cool," the boy exclaims, as the staff opens up the panels on both sides of the jammed door.
The train then departs from the station, and the boy chuckles to himself before getting on another train to leave the station.
Commuters outraged
A few commenters on Reddit explained the disruption in technical terms.
Understandably, many were outraged at the child's unapologetic and thoughtless behaviour.
One comment on the TikTok read that the child was "experimenting with people's time," as his childish behaviour had caused delay to train services.
Others were visibly disappointed by the boy's lack of remorse, pointing out the confidence and cheekiness in his voice as he committed the act.
A Redditor pointed out that Regulation 26 of the Rapid Transit Systems Regulations could apply in this situation, and that a breach attracts a maximum penalty of S$1,000.
