A motorcyclist skidded and fell at the slip road bend leading to the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) in Tampines, and was helped up by a kind car driver.

The motorcyclist is now appealing for information about the Good Samaritan in a bid to thank him personally.

The accident

TikTok user @wesmybike posted about his accident on Mar. 4 while travelling along the road.

Speaking to Mothership, he said this road is "quite infamous" for being oily and slippery.

In the video, his motorcycle, a Yamaha FZ-16 ST, skidded a distance and he fell off onto the side of the road.

According to the motorcyclist, he suspected he hit an oil patch on the road.

Kindness shown by passer-by

In an update, @wesmybike posted on Mar. 13 that a passer-by kindly helped him to get back up after the accident.

According to his video, he was sitting by the railing, waiting for a good moment to go and get his motorcycle.

His hand could be seen bleeding as it was "that one time" he did not wear gloves.

When the TikToker crossed the road to his bike, a passer-by stopped his car at the side of the road and got out to check on him.

The passer-by could be heard asking if the biker was alright, and even helped him to get his motorcycle.

The kind man righted the bike and pushed it to the side of the road.

The biker thanked the man once more before he left.

In his TikTok caption, @wesmybike appealed for information about the Good Samaritan, asking the TikTok community to help him "find this legend" so he could reach out to him.

He added that he was "deeply moved by this man's heart to help (him), a stranger".

Netizens' response

A netizen gave @wesmybike a lead that may help him find the kind passer-by, sharing that the Good Samaritan is her brother-in-law.

Many praised the passer-by's actions.

Some speculated that he was most likely a biker who faced similar encounters before.

Update on the biker's condition

In another TikTok video posted on Mar. 9, the biker said he was "recovering well" and has taken his motorcycle to be repaired.

He stated that he was grateful for all the concern.

He shared with Mothership that he decided to reach out to identify the man only now as he had been busy with work, bike repairs and recovering from his injuries.

@wesmybike elaborated that when the kind passer-by is found, he would like to go and "makan and chit chat" with the man who helped him.
