New Taiwanese eatery near Bugis has mains, free-flow bubble tea & mini buffet bar from S$24.90++

Your wildest dream—free-flow bubble tea—is coming true with the opening of Wong Fu Fu.

The restaurant, which will start operations on Feb. 23, 2023, offers Taiwanese-style hot plate meals.

According to the eatery, its menu is Muslim friendly and halal certification is in progress.

The menu

All main dishes include free-flow drinks and access to a mini buffet bar (more about this later).

There are eight options for main dishes, and some of these include:

  • Grilled Chicken Leg (S$24.90)
  • Grilled Salmon (S$28.90)
  • Grilled Lamb Chop (S$32.90)
  • Signature Taiwanese Fried Chicken Cutlet (S$25.90)
  • Plant-Based Hamburg (vegetarian, S$25.90)

Hot plate mains are accompanied by:

  • Rice (white rice, egg fried rice) or noodles (udon, spaghetti)
  • Eggs
  • Up to two sauces (Signature Brown Sauce, Black Pepper Sauce, Mushroom Sauce or Tomato Sauce)

Kids meals are available for children of ages between five to ten, such as the Fried Chicken Bento (S$15.90).

The mini buffet bar is one of the restaurant’s highlights and comprises up to 15 different types of cold and hot side dishes.

Some notable ones are the Marinated Black Fungus, Spicy Chicken Cubes, and Taiwanese Scallion Pancake with Chicken Floss.

The other highlight is the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Bubble Milk Tea station that allows you to select up to nine different toppings.

If you’re not into bubble tea, there are other seasonal drinks such as Winter Melon Tea and Taiwan Red Tea, as well as classic beverage options like coffee.

If you think that's enough for you, you can also choose to have the buffet a la carte (without hot plate mains) for S$21.90.

There is an 80-minute dining time limit.

The space

The 45-seater eatery spots a quaint entrance with wooden-rimmed glass doors and windows, giving off cozy cottage vibes.

Diners can also choose to book a 10-seater semi-private room for a more intimate setting.

Opening special

There will be a “Dine 4 Pay 3” promotion as part of the restaurant's opening special.

This means that for every group of four diners, they will only need to pay the bill for three.

The promotion will last till Mar. 21, 2023.
