The police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft of a motorcycle.

The police received a report on Feb. 20 that a motor vehicle was stolen along Pasir Ris Close.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras and CCTVs, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on Feb. 23.

The stolen motorcycle was also recovered.

The man was charged in court on Feb. 25 with the offence of theft of motor vehicle.

The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.

The police said the public is advised to adopt the following crime prevention measures:

• Park in well-lit areas

• Install an anti-theft alarm system and

• Do not leave your vehicle keys in your parked vehicle
