If you're looking for an inexpensive, yet impressive place at the very last minute for Valentine's Day, your answer (as always) is McDonald's.

Specifically, McDonald's at Funan.

The fast food restaurant (questionable use of the term "restaurant") has lavishly decorated its outlet with all manner of love-themed objects, including balloons and table settings.

Not just your regular balloons, too: there's a red balloon arch topped with heart-shaped versions, pink-foiled balloons that spell out a V-Day greeting on the wall, and more individual heart-shaped stalks beneath that to really drive home the message.

A particularly romantic corner allows you to sit closer to your date, where you can subtly put your hand on their lap or something.

Each table is set with a baby pink gauze, as well as flower petals and a fake candle in a heart-shaped enclosure.

Is this more effort than what your ex put into the relationship? Probably.

Nearby at its Raffles City outlet, a board happily announces the occasion, ambushing any self-conscious singletons that may walk past.

The branch at Compass One, Sengkang is up to some gimmicks of its own as well:

Happy Valentine's Day we guess.
