According to ScreenRant, the series is set 1,200 years prior to the events of the main series, and will feature the ancient Elven civilisation before its demise.

The series follows a ragtag group of seven unlikely companions, who must work together to combat the forces of evil that emerge to threaten the realm.

Based on the novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, "Blood Origin" will also introduce the first ever Witcher created, as well as the events that led to the "Conjunction of the Spheres", which was a big plot point in the main series.

ScreenRant also said that a familiar face is set to return: the beloved bard Jaskier, played by Joey Batey, will be making an appearance despite the series being set 1,200 years in the past.

While Jaskier's role in the series is still unknown, fans will not have to wait very long to find out.
