Lionel Messi has broken yet another record.
His Dec. 19 Instagram post with the World Cup trophy is now the most-liked post on Instagram, having surpassed the previous record holder — the egg.

Messi beats the egg
The photo of the uncracked egg, which was posted in January 2019, has been the most-liked post on Instagram since then.
It has slightly over 56 million likes as of 6:10pm on Dec. 20 (SGT).
Messi's post, which contains several pictures of him and his team with the after their World Cup win, has over 56.6 million likes as of 6:10pm on Dec. 20 (SGT).
In his caption, Messi dedicated the World Cup win to his family and to Argentinians around the world.
Messi is one of only six men to have played in five World Cups, alongside Antonio Carbajal, Lothar Matthaus, Rafa Marquez, Andres Guardado and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, this is Messi's first time winning the World Cup for his country after his side defeated France in the finals on penalties, after extra time.
Argentina was crowned world champions for the third time, having done so in 1978 and 1986.
