Six individuals sent to the hospital

Responding to Mothership's queries, police said that they were alerted to the accident around 8:10pm.

The police added that it involved a taxi and another vehicle.

Images of the accident's aftermath circulated on Facebook show a blue taxi left facing the curb in front of the Coliwoo Keppel co-living rental apartments, while people can be seen sitting on the curb and standing on the adjacent footpath.

Some of the descriptions accompanying the posts indicate that the taxi had crashed into pedestrians waiting at the junction's traffic light.

However, police told Mothership that only six individuals were sent to hospital: A 55-year-old male car driver, 50-year-old male taxi driver, and four passengers.

According to the SCDF, the six individuals were brought to Singapore General Hospital.

They were all conscious at the time.

Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
