Two students in Sarawak, Malaysia have gone viral for helping out a friend in need.

The moment was captured by a teacher in school.

Kind act spotted

Sylvester Ronny Pulene, a teacher at SK Sungai Kapit, shared to Facebook on Aug. 17 that he was heading to class after a break when he bumped into three Year 1 students outside a toilet.

Two of them in red t-shirts helped a third student, who apparently has special needs, to unhook his belt so that he could use the restroom.

After he was done, his friends helped to neaten up his attire by tucking in his shirt and fastening his belt before leading him back to the classroom.

This isn't the first time the boy's peers have helped him out, according to the teacher.

From time to time, they would also offer to help him queue up for food in the canteen.

Sylvester was moved by the act of kindness shown by the students.

The teacher referred to the student who needed assistance as "J", and described him as friendly and "different from other students".

He added that he knew "J" has special needs as the boy was his former preschool student.

According to Sylvester, the student's speech can be slow and unclear, and he usually needs to wear diapers to school.

However, it is likely that "J" was not wearing diapers on the day of this incident.

Others were moved as well

The Facebook post has amassed over 10,000 shares and 1,400 comments so far.

Many were touched by the kind act displayed by the seven-year-old, with some praising the children's parents for the upbringing.

One said: "Well done to the parents who educate their children to care about their friends who are lacking a little... We [as] parents are the ones who shape our children so that they know the meaning of good and bad."
