Waker Chicken, a food stall selling Korean-style fried chicken, has opened a second outlet in the heart of Bedok.
Its first stall at 40 Holland Drive drew long queues for its crispy and tender meat.
There was previously another outlet at 125 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh, but it has since been rebranded as Jade’s Chicken.
New outlet
The new stall opened its doors on Dec. 24, 2021, and is located at 211 New Upper Changi Road, in a coffee shop near Bedok Point Shopping Mall.
Waker Chicken was started by two Koreans living in Singapore, Noh Tae Woo and Kim Jinho, and the brand is actually owned by latter's uncle in Seoul, according to DanielFoodDiary.Waker Chicken added that all ingredients are directly imported from Korea, and the stall is touted to offer authentic yet affordable fried chicken.
Here's a glimpse of Noh frying the chicken and digging into some wings.

There are four flavours of fried chicken available — Original Crispy, Sweet Spicy, Soy Sauce, and Honey Butter.
Prices range from S$13 to S$14 for a half chicken, which is seven pieces, and from S$25 to S$27 for a whole chicken, which is 14 pieces.
