Given how self-driving cars are not a reality in Singapore yet, your vehicle cannot scoot off on its own whenever it detects a "summon auntie" around the corner making her rounds.

But there are ways to surprise parking enforcement officers back.

For one driver in Sengkang, an unassuming and highly realistic Valak The Nun car seat cushion appears to be doing the trick.

Scared a fellow driver

A video of the scary car seat cushion was put up on Instagram on Aug. 12 after it was spotted by a fellow driver.

In the video, a person who happened to be driving past the parked Chevrolet in a multistorey car park in the northeast of Singapore got the shock of his life.

He could be heard saying in Mandarin: "Oei, take a look at this punk. It is the seventh lunar month and you playing with this? I am driving and it scared the hell out of me."

Not the first time

The Valak car seat cushion is not entirely a novelty as it made its appearance back in November 2019.

Its super realistic 3D facial features prompted one person to take a video of it.

From the side, the face looks as if she could open her eyes and turn to face you at any moment.

A search online did not throw up any results of Valak The Nun car seat cushions for sale.

It appears this car accessory is one of a kind and might belong to the same owner, even though the Valak cushion previously appeared in a car of a completely different make and model.
