A tree, estimated to be up to 18m, fell on a van along Emerald Hill Road on Aug. 17 at around noon.
Van crushed
Photos of the aftermath of the incident showing the van's roof crushed and windscreen bent were put up on Facebook.
The impact caused by the tree falling was evident as the roof of the van collapsed and the chassis appeared bent.
Another photo showed what appeared to be the immediate aftermath of the incident, as the tree rested on top of the van.
The weight of the tree caused the entire undercarriage of the van to make contact with the ground.
The tree trunk is estimated to be at least a few tonnes.
About seven storeys high
An image of the tree as seen on Google Maps showed it was about seven storeys high.
In response to media queries, NParks said it was alerted to a fallen Tanjong Tree (Mimusops elangi) along 134 Emerald Hill Road following a heavy rainfall on Tuesday at around 12:20pm.
The tree, which was around 15m to 18m tall with a girth of 2.8m, was cleared by 4pm.
No injuries were reported.
