A young woman in Florida was shot dead by her toddler on Aug. 11, and the tragic accident was witnessed by her coworkers during a live Zoom call.

Heard a loud "kabloom" and saw blood

21-year-old Shamaya Lynn was in her apartment attending a work-related Zoom call when she suddenly fell backwards away from her computer.

Speaking to the Orlando Sentinel, one woman said that "one of the girls passed out" and was bleeding.

Another female coworker said that colleagues heard a "loud kabloom" through the call, and subsequently saw Lynn with blood on her face.

Lynn's toddler could be heard crying in the background.

As coworkers repeatedly called her name, Lynn remained unresponsive. Meanwhile, a manager who was also on the call attempted to find Lynn's address.

Toddler found with loaded handgun

The Altamonte Springs Police Department said in a Facebook post that it received a 911 call by one of the Zoom participants.

The caller stated that they saw a toddler in the background and "heard a noise", before Lynn fell backward and never returned to the call.

When officers and paramedics arrived at Lynn's house, she was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, reported the Orlando Sentinel.

Lynn's toddler was found with a loaded handgun which was left unsecured in the apartment, and officers determined that the shot was fired by the toddler.

The gun reportedly belonged to the father, who has not been identified, WESH 2 News reported.

Another child was also in the apartment when the shooting occurred. Neither child was harmed and they are now being cared for by relatives.

Investigations are currently ongoing, and police said that detectives are working with the local Attorney's Office concerning any charges which may be appropriate for the owner of the firearm.

The police urged owners of firearms to keep their weapons locked and secured.
