In a press conference on August 6, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) announced that the size limit for social gatherings will be increased from two to five persons.

This is among the measures that will take place from Tuesday (August 10) onwards.

Social gathering size increase

From August 10 onwards, the number of people allowed for social gatherings increases from two persons to five persons.

The cap on the number of visitors allowed in each household per day is also increased to five.

The cap on visitors does not apply for grandchildren being cared for by grandparents.

Unvaccinated individuals are "strongly encouraged" to remain in groups of no more than two persons, to reduce the likelihood of transmission and severe infection.

"We should also continue to limit our social circle to a small group of regular contacts and limit the number of social gatherings to no more than two a day," the MTF said.
