Six men, aged between 17 and 21, have been arrested by the police for their suspected involvement in a case of rioting.
The police said they were alerted to a case of a fight along Clementi Ave 2 on Aug. 17 allegedly involving two groups of people.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the two groups are known to each other and the fight had occurred due to a dispute.
Four men were arrested at the scene for rioting. Two other men, aged 17 and 18, were arrested on the same day.
Seven others — two men and five women aged between 15 and 43 — are currently assisting with investigations. A knife was also seized as case exhibit.

One of the men, a 17-year-old, will be charged in court today (Aug. 19) with voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous means under Section 324 of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to seven years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.
Those found guilty of rioting may be jailed up to seven years and caned.
Police investigations are ongoing against the remaining twelve subjects.
