Believe it or not, the picture above was not taken at some expansive nature-y place overseas like New Zealand.

Nope, these forested shores were actually captured at Punggol Timor Island, right here in Singapore.

Taken at 8:30am at Seletar North Link

On Wednesday (Aug. 18), local photographer Chee Siong Lim shared the picturesque scenes in the Facebook group CloudSpotting & SkySpotting Singapore.

In the caption of his post, Lim joked that it was "New Zealand in Singapore", and clarified that they were actually taken at Seletar North Link. He told Mothership that the photos were taken at 8:30am.

Here are the photos of the peaceful scenery, for you to admire for yourself:

Can't believe it's not Singapore

Several people in the comments shared their disbelief and awe that the photos were taken in Singapore:

Others reminisced about similarly scenic views overseas.

And one commenter provided a reminder that Singapore has its fair share of beauty to share with those who look for it.

Just make sure to keep in line with safe distancing guidelines while seeking out Singapore's hidden gems!
