The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) uncovered 12 sets of replica pistols & accessories at Pasir Panjang Scanning Station.

According to a Facebook post put up by ICA, the items had been detected on August 7, when officers spotted anomalies within the scanned images of a container that had a consignment labelled as "kids' toys."

The items were subsequently uncovered when officers carried out a supervised unstuffing operation at the importer's premises.

The case was then referred to the Singapore Police Force for investigations.

According to the ICA, the pistol replicas — which are controlled items under the Regulation of Imports and Exports Regulations — were seized by the police.

Preliminary investigations revealed that there was no permit obtained under the Regulation of Imports and Exports Regulations to import these items.
