PM Lee to deliver National Day Message on Aug. 8

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will deliver his National Day Message on Aug. 8 this year.

He will deliver his message in English. Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat will deliver the message in Mandarin.

Minister for Social and Family Development and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will deliver the message in Malay, and Minister for Transport S Iswaran will deliver the message in Tamil.

The message will be broadcast on CNA at 6:45pm.

The broadcast timing for the other languages:

  • English, 6:45pm, CNA
  • Mandarin, 9:45pm, Channel 8 / Capital 958
  • Malay, 8:30pm, Suria
  • Tamil, 9pm, Vasantham / Oli 968

The National Day Message in all four languages will also be available on the PMO website and the PMO YouTube channel after the first broadcasts.

The National Day Message is typically delivered around National Day.

Last year, the message was delivered on Aug. 9.
