McDonald's Japan has released special Happy Meal sets as part of its 50th anniversary commemoration.

Dubbed the "Narikiri" sets, which were first released in Japan in 2019 to popular demand, the fast food chain released its six-piece McDonald's crew play set in June.

This "Narikiri" set, called the "McAdventure", allows kids to pretend like they are part of the McDonald's crew.

The six-piece set includes the following:

1. Mini cash register

With a push of the button, the menu on the cash register changes like a slot machine, indicating the next order the "customer" is paying for.

In addition, with a swap of the mini McDonald's credit card on the side, it opens up to reveal the mini notes which are stored inside.

2. Delivery bag

With a swivelling panel, the "food" inside changes once you open the bag to reveal either the breakfast or lunch set.

3. Crew member's visor and rate badge

You can immerse yourself in the role of a McDonald's crew by wearing the sun visor.

The stars on the badge change colour as well when dipped into cold water, allowing your "customers" to rate you out of three stars.

4. Hamburger set

Assemble your own hamburger and wrap it up in the piece of paper provided, which looks exactly like the life-sized version.

Pack your burger in the mini Happy Meal box, which can be folded to close up like the real packaging.

Included in the set is an apple juice box, which you will have to fold from a flat piece of paper.

5. Edamame and sweet corn set

Assemble a bowl of edamame and corn by picking up the dish with the mini scoop and then dropping it into the paper bowl.

The set comes with a tray for you to serve the dish with.

6. Orange juice dispenser

Water flows out from the mini dispenser when you push a button on top.

As the cup gets filled with cold water, it changes colour from white to orange, as if it's really being filled with orange juice.

While the McDonald's crew Happy Meal series is no longer available in Japan, since it's been replaced by another "Narikiri" set from Aug. 6, you can still get it in Singapore via Carousell.

The sets were sold at S$60 in the first round of preoders, with subsequent orders being taken at S$80 and S$100.
