Hong Lim Market & Food Centre and Chong Boon Market & Food Centre will reopen on Aug. 3, the National Environment Agency (NEA) announced in a Facebook post.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) had earlier announced on July 16 and 17, that these centres would be closed to members of the public for two weeks.
Two-week closure to enable deep cleaning
The two-week closures were a bid to break the chain of transmission and enable deep cleaning and disinfection, now been completed.
This came after Covid-19 cases were previously discovered at the centres.

Resumption of business operations
The stallholders at both centres are currently preparing for the resumption of business operations and bringing in their goods and supplies, said NEA.
TraceTogether-only SafeEntry will also be implemented when these centres reopen to facilitate contact tracing efforts.
These measures are part of enhanced safe management measures at markets and hawker centres.
Like other markets and hawker centres, all stallholders and stall assistants are on a 14-day cycle of Rostered Routine Testing.
