The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said on Saturday (Aug. 7) that it had been alerted to a fire at Block 823A Tampines Street 81.
Block 823A comprises a multi-storey carpark, along with shop units including a coffeeshop.
SCDF said it was at the scene conducting firefighting operations.
Video of huge fire circulated online
Video footage of the fire was circulated online.
Thick black smoke could be seen rising into the air:
The smoke appeared to be rising from a fire on the ground-floor.
