A 39-year-old man got into a dispute with a few motorcyclists at Bedok North Road after he encroached into the other lane while turning into an estate in Bedok.
The video capturing what happened was shared online by Facebook page Roads.sg and has since garnered over 1,700 shares.
This incident occurred on Aug. 2, 2021, in the vicinity of Blk 185 Bedok North Road, the police confirmed.
In the video, a red car can be seen making a wide turn, cutting into the other lane where the motorcyclists waited on before making a left turn.
The motorcyclists who were in the other lane appeared to be dangerously close to the car.
After that, they were seen turning to tell the driver that he was driving into their lane.
In the next clip, the driver appears to confront the motorcyclists without a mask on.
While most of the conversation is unclear, the driver can be heard asking one of the motorcyclists if he stays nearby.
Later, another motorcyclist was seen coming in between the two men to try and diffuse the situation.
The driver then walked back to his car.
Driver retrieves items from his car
The video then cut to another clip which shows the driver retrieving two items from his car and brandishing them threateningly while a woman tried to stop him.
Mothership understands that the driver was holding fishing tools.
The clip ends with the motorcyclist walking away from the scene.
Arrested
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that they received a report about a dispute.
A 39-year-old man was subsequently arrested for rash act and criminal intimidation.
He will also be investigated for the failure to wear a mask when he was not in his ordinary place of residence, which is a breach of Regulation 3A(1) of the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.
Police investigations are ongoing.
