57 new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore, 17 unlinked

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 58 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Saturday (Aug. 14).

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore to 66,119.

57 locally transmitted cases

There are 57 new cases of locally transmitted Covid-19 infection.

Of these cases, there are 29 linked cases. These have already been placed on quarantine.

Another 11 linked cases were detected through surveillance.

17 are currently unlinked.

According to MOH, among the cases is one senior above 70 years who are unvaccinated and at risk of serious illness.

One imported case

In addition, there is one imported case who was detected and isolated upon arrival in Singapore.
