69-year-old male S'porean dies from Covid-19 complications

He is the 43rd Covid-19 death in Singapore.

A 69-year-old male Singaporean, Case 66910, has passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on Aug. 11, 2021, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said.

He had developed symptoms on July 28, and was admitted to Tan Tock Seng Hospital on July 29 where he tested positive for Covid-19 infection.

He had not been vaccinated against Covid-19, and had a history of stroke, diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia.

In total, 43 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19, with the most recent one reported on Aug. 7.

63 new cases on Aug. 11

MOH also confirmed 63 new cases of Covid-19 infection were reported in Singapore as of 12pm on August 11.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 65,953.
