113 new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in S’pore, 38 unlinked

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 121 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Sunday (Aug. 1).

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore to 65,102.

113 locally transmitted cases, 38 unlinked

There are 113 new cases of locally transmitted Covid-19 infection.

Of the 113 cases, 70 are linked to previous cases, and have already been placed on quarantine. Five are linked to previous cases and were detected through surveillance.

38 are currently unlinked.

Among today's cases, there are seven seniors above 70 years who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and at risk of serious illness.

Eight imported cases

In addition, there are eight imported cases, who had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

One was detected upon arrival in Singapore, while seven developed the illness during SHN or isolation.
