Contractor Greatearth Corporation has apparently gone bust, the Straits Times (ST) reported on Aug. 26, citing a circulated email from HDB to future home owners.

This is likely to affect the progress of the following Build-To-Order (BTO) projects:

  • Sky Vista @ Bukit Batok
  • Senja Heights (Bukit Panjang)
  • Senja Ridges (Bukit Panjang)
  • Marsiling Grove (Woodlands)

Another project affected is West Coast Link (Site B) in Clementi, opposite West Coast Park.

This site apparently acts as one of the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS) replacement sites for residents in Blocks 513 to 520 West Coast Road.

ST reported that the email from HDB informed the affected home buyers that the contractor has run into "financial difficulties".

The company reportedly confirmed that it is unable to complete the projects.

One person, Wing-cheong Ming, shared a Facebook post on Aug. 25 that supposedly contains the text of the email.

The post claimed that HDB said it is working on getting a replacement contractor.

In the meantime, a contingency contractor has been arranged to secure the worksite.
