The Multi-ministry Taskforce (MTF) introduced updates to Singapore's Covid-19 measures under Phase 3 (Heightened Alert) via a virtual doorstop on July 7.

Despite the easing of restrictions on dine-in limits and indoor exercise, work-from-home remains the default mode.

This is necessary to reduce overall interaction within workplaces and on public transport.

MTF also reminded employers to ensure staggered work start times and to implement flexible working hours for those who have to return to their workplaces.

For these employees, social and recreational gatherings at the workplace will be allowed from July 12, but these gatherings must be limited to a group size of no more than five persons.

As Singapore moves to vaccinate a larger percentage of its population, there is also the possibility of allowing more fully vaccinated employees in the workplace, MTF co-chair Lawrence Wong said.
