The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on July 14 that it would be tightening border measures for travellers from Myanmar, given the worsening situation in the country.

No entry for some visitors

MOH said that from 11:59pm on July 15, all long-term pass holders and short-term visitors with travel history (including transit) to Myanmar within the last three weeks will not be allowed entry nor transit through Singapore.

This will also apply to all those who had obtained prior approval for entry into Singapore.

All travellers with a recent travel history to Myanmar will also be subject to an on-arrival Antigen Rapid Test (ART) with effect from 11:59pm on July 15.

MOH also said that all travellers with recent travel history to Myanmar who have yet to complete their 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) by July 15 2021, 11.59pm will continue to be subjected to the following measures:

  • 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) at dedicated SHN facilities
  • An on-arrival polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, and PCR test on Day 14 of arrival
  • Self-administered ART test on Day 3, 7 and 11 of arrival

MOH added that it will continue to adjust the border measures to "manage the risk of importation and transmission to the community" as the global situation evolves.

These changes will be updated on the SafeTravel website.
