Who says you can't have your cute cake -- or more broadly, bakes -- and eat it?

A home bakery in Ang Mo Kio specialises in adorable bakes, such as pull apart bread, tarts, and buns.

It is run by two sisters whose baking journey took flight in 2017 when they had more time after their little ones started to enter pre-school.

Speaking to Mothership, they shared that they prefer baking cute stuff to mass baking, which explains their focus on customised bakes.

Pull apart bread

Available in various flavours such as Nutella, chocolate chip, and pork floss, the pull apart bread (S$18) comes in an assortment of designs such as teddy bear, hedgehog, and Totoro.

Other breads

They also have other types of bread, such as bolo buns, that look like Totoro with homemade custard filling (S$16 for six) and Anpanman red bean buns (S$15 for six).

They also make cute teddy buns with your preferred filling (Nutella, dark chocolate chip or pork floss) encased in their tummies at S$15 for six.

These bears can also be dressed up for the gifting occasion whether in cute dresses or in uniforms of medical personnel.

Tartlets

If you're more of a dessert or tarts person, Baking Munchies also offers customised three-inch tarlets at S$35 for six that also make a cute gift.

Available in flavours such as sesame, lemon curd, and banana dark chocolate, their tartlets have featured characters such as Totoro, Pikachu, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale, and teddy bears.
