There were reports of uprooted trees this morning (July 13) following heavy rain that lasted several hours.

One such tree was found in a car park at Block 645 Yishun Street 61.

The Nee Soon Town Council said on Facebook that it was alerted to the fallen tree at 8.10am. The town council added that there were no damages to property.

The town council also activated its property team and contractor to remove the fallen tree and debris, as well as provide traffic support. It also said that a horticulture contractor will be arranging for a tree replacement.

Separately, Lianhe Zaobao reported today that a tree in Bukit Batok was uprooted and fell on four motorcycles.

The incident happened at around 10am; the location was the car park at 417 Bukit Batok West Avenue 4.

The Chinese paper spoke to a housewife who said that she heard a loud noise before spotting the nearly four-storey tall tree on top of the four motorcycles.

When Zaobao was on the ground, it spotted contractors cutting the tree and clearing the debris.
