Children these days may have never played on those old school pelican and dragon playgrounds.

But if they happen to be in Woodlands, they may be able to sit on them.

On July 18, coffee shop chain Koufu opened its new headquarters in Woodlands.

The coffee shop will be its 39th outlet in Singapore.

But what sets it apart from the other outlets is its more localised theme.

Old school seats

According to Koufu's Facebook page, the food court is inspired by Singapore's heritage.

This includes its unique old school pelican and dragon playground-themed seats, paired with equally nostalgic tiled chess tables.

One can also play a few rounds of hopscotch after having a meal.
