One of the most highly anticipated items of the National Day Parade (NDP) are the NDP goodies.

However this year, the NDP packs will only be distributed to spectators at The Float @ Marina Bay.

At a doorstop interview, the Chairman of NDP 2021 Executive Committee, Brigadier-General Tan Cheng Kwee said that the tickets to NDP will be given to "Singaporean Everyday Heroes".

Some examples of these nominated spectators are Singaporean teachers, hawkers and transport workers.

NDP packs to only include essential items

Tan also said that a limited number of NDP packs will be distributed, specifically, only NDP in-person spectators will receive the NDP packs.

Tan explained that this is a decision made "with prudence in mind" and after gathering feedback from the public.

There will be only essential items in the NDP packs, such as water contained in reusable bottles, instead of single-use bottles, after incorporating feedback from the environmentalists.

Other items that will be included in each NDP pack are a hand-held flag and some hand sanitisers.
