Mr Holmes Bakehouse opened its doors at Pacific Plaza yesterday, July 12.
Back in 2015, the cruffin bakery featured prominently on Instagram feeds across the U.S..
Due to the pandemic, however, the Singapore outlet is the only one left in the world now (that's the narrative, anyway).
Menu and prices
Despite being known for their cruffins, there's actually quite a range of bakes on the menu, as well as coffee and tea.
The very trendy stuffed donuts, or bomboloni, are also available.

The three cruffin flavours are on a seasonal basis, and will be get swapped out every quarterly or so.
What's the hype?
The cruffin is a cross between a croissant and a muffin, and we're guessing that novelty is as much of its appeal as taste.
Taste-wise it is pretty good, but not our favourite pastry (we'd prefer croffles, for instance), as the cruffin's super crisp exterior doesn't convey much of the buttery flakiness we (I) like.
The cream was a nice complement, and not so rich that we got sick of it even after several mouthfuls.
If you're having it at home, be prepared to clean up the crumbs.
Worth going?
It's a new place in town when borders are closed, so yes.
If it matters to you, you'll also get some nice photos with the grid tiles, neon signs, and pink and while interiors.
You should probably go when there's not much of a queue though.
