A man was spotted surfing at the War Memorial Park pond in Singapore on Saturday (July 17) night.
The incident was witnessed by one Malvin Fang, who uploaded a video of it on Facebook.
Speaking to Mothership, Fang said that the incident occurred at around 10pm, and that the man in question was accompanied by another woman.
Surfing in the pool
In the video, the man can be see putting on his surfboarding gear.
He then proceeded to surf from one end of the pool to the other, by pulling on a rope attached to the other end.
At one point, he jumped and hit the memorial wall with his surfboard before landing back in the pool.
Attempted to surf four times in 20 minutes
Fang told Mothership that in the span of 20 minutes, the man attempted to surf in the pool four times.
However, he fell into the water in one of the attempts.
Fang also told Mothership that there were other people who were sitting around the area and had witnessed the incident, but none of them approached the man to stop him.
Police report was lodged
Following the incident, Fang lodged a police report.
The police confirmed with Mothership that the report was made and it is "looking into the matter."
