Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple reopening on July 12

With odd/even entry system implemented.

Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple at Waterloo Street will be reopening on next Monday (July 12).

The popular temple will, however, implement odd/even entry restriction to manage the crowd and ensure safe distancing.

Visitors with an odd last digit on their NRIC can only visit the temple on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Those with an even last digit on their NRIC can only visit on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The temple will open from Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 6:30pm with a 45 minutes break from 12:15pm to 1pm.

Lianhe Zaobao reported that there will also be a limit of up to 50 people allowed to enter the temple each time. Visitors have to bring their SafeEntry token or have SafeEntry app downloaded on their phones.

No offerings such as flowers or fruits will be accepted.

The temple has been closed for almost two months due to Covid-19 situation.
