3 new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore, 2 unlinked

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 16 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore as of 12pm on July 8.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore thus far to 62,668.

There are three new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, of whom one is linked to previous cases and was detected through surveillance.

The remaining two cases are currently unlinked.

MOH said that there are no new cases reported in the dormitories.

In addition, there are 13 imported cases. All had already been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Amongst them, 12 were detected upon arrival in Singapore, while one developed the illness during SHN or isolation.

Further updates will be shared by MOH this evening.
