The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 10 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on Tuesday (Jul. 6).
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 62,640.
Two new locally-transmitted cases
There are two cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection, both of whom are currently unlinked.
Of these, one resides in a dormitory. This is the first case reported in the dormitories since Jun. 14.
There are eight imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.
Seven were detected upon arrival in Singapore, while one developed the illness during SHN or isolation.
Decrease in community cases
The number of new cases in the community has decreased from 76 cases in the week before, to 24 cases in the past week.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased from 11 cases in the week before, to five cases in the past week.
The seven-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 2.7 and 0.7 respectively.
22 active clusters
There are currently 22 active clusters, ranging between three and 93 infections each.
MOH has been monitoring existing clusters for any further transmission. As there have been no more cases linked to the Case 63964 and Atatcutz Singapore clusters for the past two incubation periods (i.e. 28 days), the clusters have now been closed.
Progress of vaccination programme
As of Jul. 5, MOH has administered a total of 5,858,571 doses of Covid-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme.
This covers 3,670,862 individuals.
2,187,709 individuals have received their second dose and completed the full vaccination regimen.
Condition of hospitalised cases
There are currently 99 cases warded in the hospital, most of whom are well and under observation.
In addition, there are eight cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and three are in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU).
