"Punggol got nothing" is evidently a lie, as a number of Singaporeans have flocked to Waterway Point on Monday, July 12, 2021.

They were there to queue for the opening of Gram Cafe, a Japanese cafe specialising in souffle pancakes.

The Waterway Point store is its second outlet in Singapore.

Although its opening was at 11am, a spokesperson told Mothership that the first person in line reached before 8am.

The woman even bought a stool to sit on, the spokesperson added.

Staff had apparently arrived at 8am to find a a handful of waiting customers.

Queues only subsided from 8pm onwards, although it is unclear if a long line was consistent throughout the day.

During lunch time on Tuesday (July 13), a mild crowd was spotted outside the premises.
