Dining in for group sizes of up to five persons will resume on July 12, 2021.

This was announced by the Multi-ministry Taskforce (MTF) in a virtual doorstop on July 7.

The current dine-in limit is two pax after a slight easing of restrictions on June 21, as Singapore gradually reopened in Phase 3 (Heightened Alert).

The five to dine in rule is also aligned with the permitted social gathering group size, MTF added.

However, dining in remains a higher-risk activity, with the number of unmasked patrons in close proximity with one another.

Entertainment programmes, such as live performances, recorded music, and videos/ TV screening, will continue to be prohibited at F&B establishments, to reduce the expulsion of droplets from individuals having to raise their voices over the noise.

Patrons are similarly reminded to adhere to safe distancing measures, including keeping their masks on at all times except when eating or drinking.
