Health minister and Sembawang Member of Parliament (MP) Ong Ye Kung posted on Facebook about a library found at a void deck in the Sembawang area.
The space is called "Little Library" and was set up by a resident.
According to a Facebook user, the library can be found at Block 128 Canberra Street.
The space has a three-tiered shelf filled with an assortment of books for residents to enjoy, and appears to be just the right height for junior readers to browse.
Residents are encouraged to borrow or take any books they want.
They also can donate books for other residents to read, according to a sign above the shelf.
The initiative helps to encourage reading, while bringing the community together, Ong said.
Ong praised the resident for setting up the library and thanked them, saying that it "adds a warm touch in the community."
He also hopes that residents take care of the space, so that it can be a lasting feature at the HDB block.
