McDonald's Singapore will be launching its BTS Meal on Monday, June 21.

However, it will only be available via delivery.

In a Facebook post on June 16, McDonald's Singapore explained that it hopes to make the launch "safe and convenient for BTS fans":

"To make this doubly safe and convenient for BTS fans, The BTS Meal will be available on delivery only.

That means no need to rush to the restaurants, and no crowding in these pandemic times."

Fans can purchase the BTS Meal via McDelivery, Grab or FoodPanda from June 21. It will not be available via Drive-Thru or in-store.

On June 21, dining in at F&B establishments is expected to resume, if the situation remains under control.

BTS Meal offered at a special price

The BTS Meal will also be offered at a "special price" of S$8.90, which is 10 per cent off the usual delivery price.

In addition, as a note to delivery riders, McDonald's said that safety measures will be put in place to ensure orderly queues to prevent crowding inside and outside its restaurants.

Previously, McDonald's Singapore announced that they would be postponing the launch of Korean boyband BTS's go-to order from May 27 to June 21, 2021, "in view of Phase 2 (Heightened Alert)".

The BTS meal had also caused quite a frenzy in Indonesia, resulting in at least 13 McDonald's outlets in Indonesia being forced to close temporarily.

Food delivery personnel were seen swarming the fast food chain outlets, sparking Covid-19 fears, as altercations broke out between those in line.
