An old school bakery in Bedok is garnering much attention for its bakes that remind many of the sweet treats they used to have in their childhood.

L.W. Cake Shop, which is located near Block 85 Fengshan Hawker Centre, has gotten much praise from netizens with its old school buttercream cakes, a nostalgic treat for many Singaporeans.

Two posts featuring the bakery in the Can Eat! Hawker Food Facebook group have received a total of more than 800 shares as of writing.

When Mothership went down during lunch time, there were quite a few people coming in and out of the bakery.

Their renowned buttercream cake, topped with peanuts, chocolate rice, icing or piping jelly, goes for S$1.60 a slice.

There are also birthday cakes available as well.

The bakery also sells a variety of breads and pastries, such as cream bread rolls, swiss rolls, fruit cakes, donuts, custard puffs, and chocolate tarts, which are sold at the economical price of S$1 onwards.
