In a nine-second clip, Singh solemnly said:

"Hi everyone, you may or may not have heard about the news but I just want to say I'm sorry, and I hope to do better. Take care."

The earnest apology was met with support and reassurance from other users, as well as industry peers.

Drove at 131km/h on a 70km/h road

According to charge sheets seen by Mothership, Singh was caught speeding on the evening of Apr. 12, 2021, driving 131km/h along Woodlands Avenue 12.

The speed limit for the stretch of road is 70km/h.

According to CNA, Singh had just picked his son up from work.

"I wanted him to hear the same sound," the comedian said.

Singh told the court that the incident was just a one-off and that he does not usually drive recklessly.

However, he was admonished by District Judge Salina Ishak for putting his son's life in danger.
