Though the food is not halal-certified, it does not contain pork or lard. A vegetarian option will also be available for those who request it.

A good cause

In a Facebook post, the organisers pointed out that the Covid-19 pandemic has been a tough time for many.

They added that they know friends and family members who have lost their jobs:

"We all know of friends who have lost their jobs or their business has had to close down. We know relatives who have had a pay cut. We know community members who have had to take on a second job to make ends meet.

We know neighbours who have completely lost their careers. Maybe these people need a bit of encouragement, a bit of help, a bit of hope in this temporary phase of life. Maybe they can’t sleep at night because they’re worried about how to pay the bills this month. We’ve all been there. We’ve all been that person at some point of time in our lives."

Thus, they hope to offer these individuals a free meal.

Address: M2 Cafe, 1 Coleman Street #B1-40, The Adelphi Mall, Singapore 179803.

Collection time and date: 12 to 2pm, Monday to Friday till July 2.
